Renowned Chef Jason Howard Inspires During Colleges Week

With the Association of Colleges’ ‘Colleges Week’ starting on 9 October and October being Black History Month, 成人电影 welcomed renowned Chef Jason Howard to our hospitality and catering department to begin our celebrations. Chef Jason gave an inspiring masterclass to our learners studying for their Professional Chefs Level 1 qualification. Our commitment to collaboration with leading industry figures highlights our dedication to achieving the highest standards in culinary arts for our students.

Chef Jason Howard, celebrated for his expertise and innovation, especially in modern Caribbean cuisine, shared his insights and skills with eager students. Speaking about his experience, Chef Jason said: “Training young chefs is very important for the future of the culinary sector and for the generations to come. Industry masterclasses help to push the cuisine and culture forward, and we should all share our knowledge and skills, as our ancestors once did for us.”

During the masterclass each student prepared their own dish of Caribbean steamed sea bass with root vegetables, led by Chef Jason. Student Katie Jones said: 鈥淚 found the masterclass very helpful and it was inspiring to learn from a professional chef. It will be a very memorable experience for me.鈥�

Fellow student Anais Samuel-O鈥橠onoghue said: 鈥淚t was very informative for me as a person who eats a lot of flavourful Caribbean food. I was wondering how Chef Jason would minimise the flavours to suit a wide range of palettes. I learned it鈥檚 all about 鈥榬eduction, reduction, reduction鈥�. It worked and the food still tasted delicious.鈥�

Denise Charles, Head of Service Industries at 成人电影 said: 鈥淗aving Chef Jason鈥檚 masterclass was a great way to celebrate Black History Month in the Hospitality and Catering department by learning how to cook modern Caribbean cuisine.鈥�

In addition to the masterclass, Chef Jason Howard is actively exploring a week-long collaboration with 成人电影, hosting a pop-up restaurant.
