What is Safeguarding?

Safeguarding is our legal and moral duty as a college, to ensure that the welfare of all young people and vulnerable adults is an overriding priority. We follow procedures to protect children, young people and vulnerable adults from abuse, neglect or significant harm.

All staff are trained to provide help as soon as possible and will refer any safeguarding concerns to the college鈥檚 dedicated safeguarding team. Details of designated safeguarding officers are provided in the campus links below.

What is Prevent and British Values?

Preventing radicalisation and extremism is a central part of our safeguarding policy and procedure. It means we must safeguard students from the risk of being drawn into terrorism and ensure that we stand up for the fundamental British Values of democracy, rule of law and mutual respect.

What should I do if I have a safeguarding concern?

Everyone has a responsibility to keep children, young people and vulnerable adults safe. If you have a safeguarding concern about yourself or another student, no matter what kind of help is needed, get in touch with the safeguarding team and we will support however we can.

Drop into Student Services at any site and say you have a safeguarding concern
Speak to any member of staff, including your tutor, and tell them you have a safeguarding concern
